NOC Interview: Nika King Talks HBO’s ‘Euphoria’ Season 2

Nika King portrays Leslie Bennett in the hit drama, Euphoria. The series has been renewed for a third season. New episodes air Sundays on HBO and HBO Max. The following interview will include spoilers for episode 2×05, “Stand Still Like the Hummingbird.”

Amidst the intertwining lives in the town of East Highland, 17 year old Rue (Zendaya) must find hope while balancing the pressures of love, loss, and addiction.

Eddy Chen/HBO

I had a chance to chat with the actress and break down episode 2×05’s biggest moments, talk about what the character of Leslie has given to her, what’s next in the story, how fans relate to the show, and much more!

While it could have benefited from a greater boost in global majority presence considering that the aquatic kingdom is inspired by the Caribbean, the production boasts an extraordinarily talented ensemble cast, creative team, stunning imagination in its production design and direction, and that tingling touch of chaotic madness that puts an indelibly refreshing take on this classic Disney animated tale.
