‘Immaculate’ Teases Sydney Sweeney as a Pregnant Nun in Chilling Trailer and Poster

There’s a new scream queen in town. Neon released the official trailer today for its upcoming psychological horror film Immaculate, starring Sydney Sweeney.

Directed by Michael Mohan (The Voyeurs, Everything Sucks!) the film follows Sweeney as Cecilia, a devout woman who relocates to a seemingly idyllic Italian convent. But when she mysteriously becomes pregnant with a “miracle” child, she starts to suspect that her new home isn’t quite as picture perfect as it seems.

Immaculate marks the latest high-profile project for Sweeney, who’s garnered wide recognition for her recent starring roles in Euphoria, The White Lotus, and Anyone but You. Additional cast members include Simona Tabasco (The White Lotus), Álvaro Morte (Money Heist, Wheel of Time), Benedetta Porcaroli (Baby), Dora Romano (Bang Bang Baby), Giampiero Judica (Secret Invasion), and Giorgio Colangeli (There’s Still Tomorrow).

Andrew Lobel penned the script. Sweeney serves as a producer alongside Jonathan Davino, David Bernad (The White Lotus), Teddy Schwarzman (The Imitation Game), and Michael Heimler (Nyad). John Friedberg (Ferrari), Christopher Casanova (Dumb Money), and Will Greenfield (Euphoria) are executive producers. Black Bear Pictures financed the film.
