With Inside Out 2 just 10 days from its theatrical release, Disney and Pixar have released a final trailer for the highly anticipated sequel that takes a look at the inside of the mind of mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as Headquarters undergoes a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions.
The final trailer includes brand-new scenes and introduces Nostalgia (June Squibb) as one of the newest emotions. We see her reminisce on the good times, which, according to Ennui, happened 30 seconds ago. All nine emotions will have to learn how to coexist with each other as Riley figures out who she is as she enters puberty.
The voice cast includes Amy Poehler, Lewis Black, and Phyllis Smith, who return as Joy, Anger, and Sadness, respectively. They’ll be joined by Liza Lapira and Tony Hale, who are the new voices for Disgust and Fear, respectively. The voices for the new emotions include Maya Hawke as Anxiety, Ayo Edebiri as Envy, Adèle Exarchopoulos and Ennui, and Paul Walter Hauser as Embarassment. Kensington Tallman, Lilimar, Grace Lu, Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, and Yvette Nicole Brown round out the remaining voice cast.
Inside Out 2 is directed by Kelsey Mann, produced by Mark Nielsen and executive produced by Pete Docter, Jonas Rivera and Dan Scanlon. The film features a screenplay by Meg LeFauve and Dave Holstein and story by Mann and LeFauve.
Inside Out 2 hits theaters on June 14, 2024.
Here’s the official plot synopsis for Inside Out 2:
