NOC Review: ‘The Wild Robot’ is a Future Animated Classic for the Ages

Wow! Every year the Best Animated Feature race at the Oscars gets more and more difficult, and this year’s will definitely be a doozy. It’s hard to top a film like Inside Out 2. But I truly believe Dreamworks and writer/director Chris Sanders have managed to do just that with a beautiful, artistic triumph about love and parenthood called The Wild Robot.

NOC Review: A Satisfying Visit to ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’

Since the first film became a phenomenon in 2018, the Quiet Place franchise has, well, quietly and stealthily become one of the most consistently entertaining franchises in cinema for the past decade. The first two movies were a lot of fun, and I’m pleased to report that the spin-off prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One, has only served to further that reputation, living up to the legacy of its predecessors in a satisfying, emotional, and thrilling way.

NOC Review: The ‘Black Panther’ Lives On in ‘Wakanda Forever’

How do a filmmaker and his crew pick up the pieces of a story shattered by the heartbreaking loss of a fallen family member, who was both a protagonist and king? That was certainly the question left several days after the death of the incredible Chadwick Boseman, who passed away from colon cancer in August 2020, shortly after writer/director Ryan Coogler had just finished the first draft of his script for the sequel to 2018’s Black Panther.

Namor Makes a Grand Entrance in the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Trailer

Marvel Studios has released the newest trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It’s a sequel that promises to be one of the most exciting and also most emotional as it respectfully addresses the tragic loss of the beloved King T’Challa, played Chadwick Boseman, who sadly died of cancer in 2020. But rather than recast the role, Marvel decided to pass on the title of Black Panther to a different character, one that has yet to be revealed to the world.

Watch the New Trailer for New Espionage Thriller, ‘The 355’

The 355 is directed by Simon Kinberg with screenplay by Theresa Rebeck and Kinberg, from a story by Rebeck. The espionage thriller stars Jessica Chastain, Penélope Cruz, Bingbing Fan, Diane Kruger, Lupita Nyong’o, Édgar Ramirez, and Sebastian Stan. The 355 will be released in theaters on January 7.
