New Teaser for the ‘Halo’ Live Action Series Debuts

It’s been stuck in development hell for years, but we are finally getting a live action Halo adaptation! While this was a project that has been trying to get off the ground, and passing through the high profile eyes of directors like Peter Jackson, Guillermo Del Toro, Alex Garland, and Neill Blomkamp, it is finally seeing the light of day in 2022 thanks to executive producer Steven Spielberg.

Today we are finally getting a very tiny glimpse of what to expect, as Paramount+ has just released the first teaser for the series here:

Though the series was announced in, and expected to debut in 2018, it remained paused until the cast began to assemble in 2019, when Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black and American Gods) was cast as the series lead, Master Chief. The footage above shows a very scarred Chief putting on his helmet.

Throughout the past few years, Schreiber and the crew have been dropping little bits and pieces to tease fans about how the new adaptation will look through social, including a look at the full helmet:

How will all this play out? Who knows. But it’s amazing to think that after all the struggles and false starts, this massive project is finally going to see the much deserved light of day when Halo hits Paramount+ in 2022!

Until then, stay tuned to The Nerds of Color for more emerging news on Halo!
