With the release of Pixar’s Elemental just a few short weeks away, the studio has dropped some incredible marketing pieces from its massive debut at Cannes to a clip. Now, they have dropped a few new posters teasing the theatrical viewing experiences you can watch and an all-new featurette of the cast and crew talking about the recording process.

Included in the featurette are Leah Lewis, who voices the fiery Ember, Mamoudou Athie as the Water-guy Wade; Wendi McLendon-Covey as Wade’s stormy Air-Ball-loving boss, Gale; and Catherine O’Hara as Wade’s funny-but-tearful mom, Brook — plus insight from director Peter Sohn. In it, they talk about how Elemental is a film that can only be experienced in a theater.
While Lewis talks about Elemental City’s citizens, McLendon-Covey addressed how making a film about the elements opens the door for some pun-based comedy. And it’s fun to see how much energy they are putting into the recording process. And at one point, we even see Athie and Lewis record their parts together in the same room – something that doesn’t happen often.
“I think putting your heart into the story is a big ingredient to what makes a Pixar film work,” Sohn said.
The film also features the voices of Ronnie del Carmen, Shila Ommi, Mason Wertheimer, Joe Pera, and Matt Yang King.
Written by John Hoberg and Kat Likkel, Brenda Hsueh, and Sohn, Elemental opens in theaters on June 16, 2023.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for Elemental:
Elemental is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where Fire-, Water-, Earth- and Air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.
