We know Ke Huy Quan can kick ass. We’ve seen it in Everything Everywhere All at Once. So it’s only logical to give the man his own action role! And it’s exciting to hear that production has officially started on that action film, With Love!
First announced back in January, the movie is now picking up steam! Produced by David Leitch and Kelly McCormick of 87 North, and helmed by first-time director Jonathan Eusebio, the cast is gradually being stacked for this highly anticipated film, as last week, Ariana DeBose was announced to join the cast, and today, Into the Badlands badass, Daniel Wu was formally added to the ensemble as well!
Now, we’ve been given the official confirmation that production has started on the film, via 87 North’s social accounts. You can take a look at the announcement right here:
Quan himself also took to social to showcase his trademark excitement over the first day of shooting with a quick post featuring images of himself, DeBose, Eusebio, Leitch, and the whole crew excitedly amped to move forward with production:
While not much is known about the plot just yet, the film is being written by Luke Passmore, based on an original script by Josh Stoddard & Matthew Murray. It’s expected to be released by Universal Pictures next February.
I think it’s easy for us to share in the giddy excitement Quan’s expressing! After all, Quan + this cast + the team behind John Wick, The Fall Guy, and honestly the best action films in the business today has to equal, perhaps, one of 2025’s most eagerly anticipated releases (at least for this writer right here!)
Once more, With Love hits theaters February 7th, 2025!
