No one can deny how much of a badass Ke Huy Quan is! We saw him kicking so much ass in Everything Everywhere All At Once. And he’s also a big MCU star too, with the debut of O.B. in Loki Season 2! But now, it’s time for the Oscar-winning actor to headline his own action film.
And while we wait for Short Round to take over as the logical successor for the Indiana Jones fedora, 87 North and Universal Pictures have officially announced the upcoming Quan-starrer, With Love!
With Love will be produced by David Leitch and Kelly McCormick, who are behind some of 87 North’s biggest productions, such as Bullet Train, Atomic Blonde, and the upcoming The Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling. So they know a thing or two about badass action and amazing stuntwork. The film will be the directorial debut of director Jonathan Eusebio, who is also no stranger to stunts. He was the 2nd Unit Director and Stunt Coordinator on classics like Black Panther, the first Avengers movie, the John Wick franchise, and Deadpool 2. And the film will be written by Luke Passmore, based on an original script by Josh Stoddard & Matthew Murray.
All of this, plus Quan’s involvement, is making me froth at the mouth at how amazing this all sounds! We know Quan can pull off amazing action choreography. And we know 87 North always delivers the goods when it comes to stunning grounded stuntwork.
I predict With Love will be a potential gamechanger for us to watch out for!
