America Ferrera, Bill Hader, and Xochitl Gomez burst into laughter while seated in red armchairs during an interview in front of a Cat in the Hat backdrop.

Chaos with ‘Cat in the Hat’ Stars America Ferrera, Xochitl Gomez, and Bill Hader

October 30, 2026 Mike Manalo

The Cat in the Hat comes out next week, and we thought we’d give you all a sneak peek! We sat down with stars America Ferrera, Xochitl Gomez, and Bill Hader. What followed was perhaps the most hilarious and chaotic interview we’ve ever done!

We’ve done a ton of interviews here at The Nerds of Color. Most of the time they’re pretty straightforward, with our guests giving us insightful answers to fairly predictable questions. However, sometimes, when things go completely off the rails, we get some of the best, most organic and genuinely fun moments our site has ever seen.

This is firmly where our interview with Hader, Ferrera, and Gomez lands, and we couldn’t be more grateful! The energy was just silly, and hilarious, and in all honesty, I have no idea how any of us got through it! The trio was hysterical, and it was genuinely one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had working for The Nerds of Color. There simply could have been no better way to celebrate a movie all about chaos, like The Cat in the Hat.

Here’s our full interview. Enjoy the chaos:

The Cat in the Hat hits theaters next Friday, November 6! Stay tuned to The Nerds of Color with our interviews with directors Erica Rivinoja and Alessandro Carloni, and stars Quinta Brunson and Giancarlo Esposito!
