Night Swim, the latest Blumhouse/Atomic Monster collaboration, is coming to terrify audiences in theaters everywhere January 5. And to celebrate, The Nerds of Color was given the opportunity to speak with some of the cast and crew who brought the latest Universal horror hit to the surface.
Yesterday, we brought you our interview with stars Wyatt Russell and Kerry Condon. And today, we have a fun chat with writer/director Bryce McGuire (who also co-created the short the film was based on), and producer extraordinaire Ryan Turek!
McGuire first came into the scene with the original Night Swim short, which he co-wrote and co-directed with Rod Blackhurst. And after being discovered, he’s now bringing his chilling story to the big screen with an all-star cast, thanks to the help of Turek, James Wan, and Jason Blum. Turek has had a hand at producing some of Blumhouse’s biggest hits, such as the brilliant Scott Derrickson classic, The Black Phone and this year’s wildly successful hits M3GAN and the video game adaptation, Five Nights at Freddys.
Here’s what they had to say about their latest horror hit:
