He’s back folks! Last year, the legend that is Michael Keaton stepped back into the cape and cowl to reprise his role as Batman. But this year, he’s donning the stripes once more, to return to one of his most beloved characters ever! The Ghost with the Most is back in Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!
This morning, Warner Bros. provided us with the first exciting look at the highly anticipated sequel to one of the most classic comedies of the ’80s, and one of the films that put director Tim Burton on the map!
Through Entertainment Weekly and the magic of social media they dropped our first glimpses of stars Jenna Ortega, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, and of course, Keaton in his full glory as Beetlejuice!

While not much is known about the story, the fact that Burton and the original cast are back is incredibly comforting.
Burton went on to reveal to EW that the movie will revolve around a personal story that begins with a death in the Deetz family, that Ortega is playing Astrid, Lydia’s daughter, and that the emotional hook behind the movie will revolve around three generations of Deetz women. Joining the cast as well will be the amazing Willem Dafoe and Monica Bellucci.
For fans like myself, we couldn’t be more excited to see our favorite Bio-Exorcist coming back to life!
