Disney+ has released the official trailer for Jim Henson Idea Man. Directed by Academy Award winner Ron Howard, the documentary chronicles the story of extraordinary artist and visionary Jim Henson who helped shape pop culture into what it is today with his ingenious storytelling and puppeteering.

From Sesame Street to The Muppets to The Dark Crystal, Henson’s creations came from a place of innocence and “showed the people of the good in all of us.” As the trailer teases what to expect, it starts to turn emotional when Kermit sings “The Rainbow Connection.”

We hear directly from the friends, family, and coworkers who helped shape the company into what it is today. While the trailer gives us a small glimpse at his creative impact, it also reveals the dark side of being famous and how its toxicity was a destructive influence on his loved ones.

But there’s no doubt that the dreamer was fearless, and his intentions to give audiences something wholesome and inspiring were genuine. It’s something that continues to resonate with audiences who grew up with those stories and wants to share with future generations.
