The third live-action Star Wars series and first limited series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, has come to an end. Set a decade after the events of Revenge of the Sith, the Jedi master has lost his way as he lives in exile on Tatooine, watching out over a young Luke Skywalker. However, when a call summons for him to leave his post, he must find balance within the Force and himself, in order to become the headstrong Jedi he was once more.

‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ is a Great Entry Point and an Even Greater Legacy Series

What even is a “diehard” Star Wars fan? Back in the early days of the franchise, when it wasn’t a franchise, a “hardcore” fan would be the ones camping out at their local theater the night before — a tent and sleeping bag to fight back the cold. All was worth it to be among the first to see Luke’s adventure come to a triumphant conclusion (for now).

‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Director Deborah Chow on the ‘Star Wars’ Legacy and Toshiro Mifune

In one week, on the 45th anniversary of the original Star Wars, Disney+ will be premiering the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Filling in the gap between Episodes III and IV, Obi-Wan Kenobi brings back Prequel era stars Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen to reprise the roles of Kenobi and Darth Vader, respectively.

Hello There: ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Will Stream on Disney+ in May

Though The Book of Boba Fett just completed its initial season with a thrilling action-packed finale, Disney+ is going right back to Tatooine in its next Star Wars series. It was revealed today that the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series will debut on May 25. Four and a half decades to the day Alec Guinness originated the role in Star Wars: A New Hope.

Everything We Know About ‘The Mandalorian’

Back when it was first announed that Jon Favreau was getting his own Star Wars franchise, I went and created a whole line of Pod Save America inspired t-shirts at our merch store. Turns out Lucasfilm had turned over its first live action Star Wars series to the director of Iron Man and not President Obama’s former speechwriter-turned-podcaster. For the last several months, no one knew what Favreau’s mysterious show was going to be about. Until now.
