Hello There: ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Will Stream on Disney+ in May

Though The Book of Boba Fett just completed its initial season with a thrilling action-packed finale, Disney+ is going right back to Tatooine in its next Star Wars series. It was revealed today that the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series will debut on May 25. Four and a half decades to the day Alec Guinness originated the role in Star Wars: A New Hope.

Ewan McGregor makes his return as the titular Jedi Master alongside Hayden Christensen who will also return in the role of Darth Vader. The series also brings back the prequel-era versions of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru in Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse, respectively.

Actors new to the galaxy far far away incluce Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. The Mandalorian’s Deborah Chow is an executive producer and is slated to direct most of the series.
