Disney+ has just released the teaser trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi giving fans an exciting first look at the highly anticipated limited series, which launches on Disney+ on May 25.
Directed by Deborah Chow, Obi-Wan Kenobi begins 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Ewan McGregor returns as the iconic Jedi Master, who now watches over Anakin Skywalker’s son, Luke, from afar. Still dealing with the Sith turn of his apprentice, Obi-Wan must continue to hide as the Empire continues their hunt for Jedi.
In the trailer, we see a young Luke Skywalker playing around on his home, owned by his Uncle Owen (Joel Edgerton) and Beru (Bonnie Piesse). Obi-Wan says in the voiceover, “The fight is done. We lost. Stay hidden.” We also catch a glimpse of the Grand Inquisitor who is hunting for the last remaining Jedis. The entire teaser looks really good.
Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin/Darth Vader, with Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie joining the cast.
