It was only until they brought the character back for Endgame that they realized there was a story behind bringing Loki back from the dead.Continue reading “Kevin Feige Knew He Wanted to Bring Loki Back During ‘Endgame’”
In the global press conference today for Marvel’s Loki, director Kate Herron and writer Michael Waldron revealed the style of the drama-crime series was inspired by the films, Se7en, Zodiac, and Silence of the Lambs. And let’s be honest, at this point it’s incredibly expected for several factors: the unwavering popularity of the MCU; the fact that the film represents Chloe Zhao’s follow up to the Oscar-winning Nomadland; and alluring and heightened curiosity around who these characters are and what their role is within the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe. Wait a sec! Back up! Who are these characters?Continue reading “An Extra Close Examination and Explanation of the ‘Eternals’ Trailer”

It’s not a spoiler alert to say A LOT happens in six episodes of the epic The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. So it would make sense for the story to continue in some way, shape, or form to explore everything it sets up. As such, it’s not surprising that today via The Hollywood Reporter it was announced that showrunner Malcolm Spellman is teaming up with staff writer Dalan Musson to write the fourth installment in the Captain America franchise.Continue reading “UPDATED: Cap is Back! ‘Captain America 4’ in the Works with Malcolm Spellman”
When showrunner Malcolm Spellman first signed onto The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, he was told that it would be the first television series to come out on Disney+. This meant Spellman had to figure out how to bring the Marvel filmmaker experience to the silver screen. Working with director Kari Skogland, Spellman knew he wanted to bring the action but also bring a lot of the serious implications of being a hero post-Blip, surviving PTSD, and the weight of possibly being a Black Captain America.Continue reading “How ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ Will Explore Deeper Themes in Six Episodes”

When WandaVision was first announced by Marvel in 2018 as a series centered around Wanda and Vision’s love story, fans were excited to watch their journey since their relationship was introduced in Captain America: Civil War. Prior to the debut of Infinity War, there was hope that Wanda and Vision would make it out alive since they were getting their own show on Disney+. Unfortunately, after Vision’s inevitable death at the hand of Thanos, many of us were confused at just how WandaVision would play out. What would be the premise of the series if Vision is dead? How could Vision come back? Why are they stuck in a series of sitcoms? Why sitcoms?Continue reading “NOC Review: Weird and Wacky ‘WandaVision’ Wows the MCU”
As previously and frequently alluded to in my recap of the Marvel Studios Phase 4 announcements from the Disney Investor Day last December, we MCU fans have been in utter withdrawal since last we stepped foot into the marvelous universe of magic, science, and super powers (July 2019 with the release of Spider-Man Far From Home). Given Marvel Studios’ proclivity to leave us wanting more, fans have been clamoring to see how Phase 4 will indeed kick off following the conclusion of the Infinity Saga in Avengers: Endgame. Thankfully, this coming Friday, a new era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will at long last begin, with the debut of something completely different – their first episodic streaming show!Continue reading “En-‘Vision’-ing a ‘Wanda’-ful Future at the ‘WandaVision’ Press Conference”
