Disney remaking its classics has been a completely mixed bag thus far. Sure they make billions. But they’re incredibly hit and miss. And it’s so appropriate that I’m kicking off the review for the latest Disney remake, Pinocchio (2022), with such a statement, because it is a completely mixed bag. And a weird one at that.

Hulu has just released the official trailer and key art for the new original Nine Perfect Strangers. The eight-episode series premieres on the streaming platform with three episodes on Wednesday, August 18. New episodes will continue to release weekly. Nine Perfect Strangers stars Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone, and Manny Jacinto.

The news of the Disney+ series comes as fans all over the world celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic animated 1991 classic! Stars Luke Evans and Josh Gad will be reprising their roles as Gaston and LeFou (Louie) in the eight-episode prequel. Briana Middleton will also be joining Beauty and the Beast as Louie’s stepsister, Tilly.
