It’s actually here folks! Our first look at David Corenswet as the new Man of Steel in Superman!
We got a few teases about the new logo for the Superman suit recently, taking inspiration from Alex Ross’ design in Mark Waid’s iconic Kingdom Come story. But today we actually got a full look at Corenswet and his full Superman outfit.
Take a look here!
There’s a lot here to deconstruct. But the blues and the textures admittedly look fairly similar to Henry Cavill’s, but naturally the logo is quite unique, and there’s more lines across the boots and shoulders.
[Also, are those red trunks?! — ed.]
Overall though it looks incredible. Here’s a closer look:

I’m also incredibly curious as to what the clearly alien ship (?) or creature is attacking Metropolis in the background. Gunn said Lex Luthor would be the primary villain. Perhaps it’s something created by Lex? But it very much looks more “Brainiac”-ish. Which would be new for live-action, and exciting!
Time will tell! And we’ll all officially find out, when Superman hits theaters, July 11, 2025!
