‘Ninja Scroll’ 30th Anniversary Theatrical Release Opening Nationwide in September

Today at Anime Expo 2024, Iconic Events Releasing, in partnership with AMC Networks HIDIVE, revealed plans for a 30th anniversary theatrical release of the critically acclaimed, samurai period drama film Ninja Scroll. Written and directed by Yoshiaki KawajiriNinja Scroll was originally released in 1993 and is considered a truly seminal work in anime filmmaking. The best part is that it comes out on my birthday!

The show premiered on September 9 on SundanceTV as well as AMC+ and puts a spotlight on murder cases from small towns across America where questions remain if justice has been fully served. Each episode, Burton Morgan meets with family members and local insiders as she explores the twists and turns of the case, uncovering the unique challenges of small-town justice. New episodes air Thursdays at 10PM ET.

Get All the Details on SundanceTV’s ‘It Couldn’t Happen Here’ With Hilarie Burton Morgan

AMC Networks’ SundanceTV has just announced the commission of its first true crime franchise, True Crime Story. It will focus on telling a wide variety of true crime stories from unique perspectives. The first series will be It Couldn’t Happen Here. Hosted by Hilarie Burton Morgan, It Couldn’t Happen Here will premiere Thursday, September 9 on SundanceTV and AMC+. The series will be a total of six, one-hour episodes.

The chill in the air — and those moans in the distance — can only mean one thing: The Walking Dead is back! We at The Nerds of Color are very excited for the return of everyone’s favorite zombie drama, especially now that Lawrence Gillard Jr. has joined the castWire fans, rejoice!
