Since her first appearance in Season 6 of The Flash, Sue Dearbon, as played by Natalie Dreyfuss, has captured the hearts of so many fans of the show. A charismatic socialite who uses her financial resources for good, she’s a force to be reckoned with. Now back this season, she pairs up with the show’s leading lady Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) as they help troubled meta teen Tinya (Mika Abdalla) reconnect with her long-lost mother. Through it all, Sue has all the flair and confidence to command a presence on screen and enrich the already electric energy that Candice Patton brings as Iris.

Damion Poitier on Returning to ‘The Flash’

Goldface and Amunet are a criminal pair bringing constant headaches to Central City and Team Flash. Whether they’re together or separate, they each pose a formidable criminal force. Damion Poitier (whose credits include the original Thanos in The Avengers), plays Goldface, always chewing up the scenery every chance he gets to appear on the show, such as in last week’s episode “Lockdown.”

Jessica Parker Kennedy on What’s Next for the West-Allen Siblings on ‘The Flash’

The Flash fans were delighted by the ending of Season 7 with the arrival of the West-Allen kids of the future. Not exactly the Tornado Twins of the comics, but a composite of multiple descendants of Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen with Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) and Bart (Jordan Fisher) West-Allen, the siblings came to help their parents save the day against Godspeed to everyone’s delight. It was a West-Allen peak for the ages, but the kids aren’t done yet as they return to take the spotlight in this week’s returning episode of The Flash Season 8.

NOC Exclusive Clip: When Marquis Met Alice on ‘Batwoman’

After a three-week hiatus, The CW roster of DCTV is making its way back to our television and streams. Especially anticipated is the return of Batwoman — where so much has happened this season. Ryan’s (Javicia Leslie) newfound brother Marquis (Nick Creegan) has taken on the role as the new Joker. And, the only way to reinstate his empathy is through another buzz from the previous Joker’s special joy buzzer. That’s comic-book logic for you!

‘Naomi’ Establishes an Intriguing Story for a New Hero

Naomi McDuffie (Kaci Walfall) is a normal Oregonian 16-year-old who has a fascination with superheroes, particularly her favorite, Superman. So much so that she has a whole Superman fan website (we can relate to something like that here at The Nerds of Color). A key reason she relates to him is the fact that they’re both adoptees. However, in her new story starting in her titular series Naomi, she finds she may have more in common with the legendary figure than she ever expected.

NOC Review: A Unique Premiere for a Unique ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Season

“The Bullet Blondes” shows our heroes in a dire place. When we left our lovable band of time-traveling misfit superheroes at the tail end of Season 6, the unthinkable happened. Their precious Waverider ship was blown up by another Waverider that simply appeared and left! Now stranded in 1925, the Legends must figure out how to time-travel out of this period and make sure they don’t mess up history along the way.

‘The Flash’ Returns This November with Five-Part “Armageddon” Premiere

NOC Interview: Azie Tesfai Steps into Her Power on ‘Supergirl

Since her debut in Season 4 of Supergirl, Kelly Olsen has been an invaluable friend, sister, and beloved partner of Supergirl and her close friends and family. Her relationship with Kara’s sister, Alex, has been one of the best highlights of queer relationships in superhero TV. Even though Supergirl is ending this season, Kelly still has more moments to shine, especially as she takes up the mantle of Guardian left by her brother Jimmy, who has left the hero life behind.

John Wesley Shipp on His Return to ‘The Flash’ and the Season 7 Finale

The Flash is a superhero mantle of legacy, with several speedsters taking up the role. The Flash series on The CW has been successful at incorporating numerous elements of this line of legacy, particularly in its Season 7 finale “The Heart of the Matter, Part 2,” in which Barry must gather speedsters of past and future to defeat the villainous army of Godspeeds. This includes the original Flash of the Arrowverse Multiverse, the one and only Jay Garrick, played by John Wesley Shipp who originated the role Barry Allen in the Flash show of the 1990s.

NOC Interview: Shayan Sobhian of ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’

Since coming onto the Legends team in a revamped timeline in the Season 4 finale, Behrad Tarazi, younger brother of Zari Tarazi, has been a fixture on Legends of Tomorrow. But it was only this season that his actor, the mult-talented Shayan Sobhian, was promoted to a series regular. He’s the chillest member of the Waverider crew, always looking to defuse tension and make sure that he and his friends have a good time.

Danielle Nicolet Takes Center Stage on ‘The Flash’

The Flash has, since its inception, put a large focus on its supporting cast, many of whom have become part of “Team Flash,” aiding Barry Allen in his various adventures. Cecile Horton, played by the talented Danielle Nicolet, has increasingly become part of Team Flash, stepping far up from when she was on the outside looking in. In perhaps one of the most marked changes for a character on the show, it was eventually revealed that Cecile was also a metahuman, gifted with empathic powers and making her a strong asset to the team.

In the few seasons Astra Logue has been on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, she’s gone from being a hellish antagonist for our heroes, to being a key ally, to now trying to lead a semi-normal life on Earth. But how will she adjust after all she’s been through, and where does her journey go from here? In the upcoming Legends episode “The Satanist’s Apprentice,” Astra gets more than she bargained for as she attempts to get some of the power and ease of her life in Hell back on Earth, and typical Legends shennigans ensue. We at The Nerds of Color were fortunately enough to speak with Astra’s wonderful actress, Olivia Swann, to talk about everything that her character has gone through and where she’s going as the season goes on.

Wolé Parks and Writer Jai Jamison Discuss THAT REVEAL on ‘Superman And Lois’

Since Superman’s debut in Action Comics #1 in 1938, we’ve seen several versions of him. Evil versions, younger and older versions, even a version that became his earth’s sun! The incarnations that always tend to do the best are the ones that focus on the values of the character. Namely, his family values as mild-mannered, small-town raised Clark Kent, and his heroic values as the powerful protector of Metropolis.
