‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ Trailer Goes Deeper into the Quantum Realm

For a Marvel Comics superhero who had a small start in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he’s had some pretty big adventures, some of which had an impact on the larger MCU. No longer the epilogue to the Avengers epics, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) aka Ant-Man and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) aka The Wasp are the opening act to Phase 5, where they will take fans into the mysterious Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.

Track Commentary: “Lost in Translation”

All this week, I’ll be doing track-by-track commentary on the new EP. You should go grab the new EP at my bandcamp site, PHYSICAL COPIES OF THE CD WILL ONLY BE FOR SALE ON MY SITE UNTIL END-OF-DAY FRIDAY. If you want a copy of it, get it now, or get it at a show.

There’s something about rapping in 3/4 time that can drive some crazy. I know some people hate it, I actually think kHill hates it, but I love it. It’s the same as a lot of tracks I’ve released, like the “Paperman” song I released. It’s such a refreshing challenge to write, sometimes taking your flow and delivery past the end of the measure, sometimes stopping cold a half beat before it ends, connecting the rhymes in the unlikeliest of places. So before you fire up the Ecto-1 and head to your closest multiplex, here are some places to visit online to get you pumped for the flick.

Ghostbusters II Turns 25, Still Too Hot to Handle (Too Cold to Hold)

Oh yeah, and the original Ghostbusters is having an anniversary, too.

Yes, this weekend marks 30 years since that groundbreaking film Ghostbusters was first released. Trust me, I am more than excited for this fact; other than how old that makes me feel, that is. Sony is going all out for this anniversary too. Not only will the film be re-released in theaters this August, but they’re giving us a fully-loaded anniversary edition of the blu-ray in September!

As great as all of this is, I am here to talk about the thing I am actually even more jazzed about. You see, while 2014 is indeed the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters, it’s also the 25th anniversary of Ghostbusters II, aka the greatest sequel in film history. Yeah, that’s right. Sorry Godfather 2 or Empire Strikes Back or The Dark Knight.

Lost in Translation Mystery is Finally Solved

For over a decade, cinephiles across the internet and beyond have debated and theorized about what Bill Murray’s character whispers to Scarlett Johansson at the end of Sofia Coppola’s Oscar-winning film Lost in Translation. It’s probably the most famous non-line in cinema history.

Well, I think I’ve finally figured it out. And it’s so obvious, I feel stupid for not ever seeing it before. FYI, there are major spoilers contained below, so proceed with caution before clicking through!
