In honor of the 400th episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Sarah Drew and Jesse Williams returned as April Kepner and Jackson Avery. Last year, the actress came back for episode 17×14, “Look Up Child” to help give Jackson’s story a happy ending. For the season 18 finale, “You Are the Blood,” I had the pleasure of reuniting with Drew to discuss the milestone episode!

The character first joined the show in the season 1 finale and quickly became a fan favorite, eventually leading the spinoff series Private Practice, which lasted six seasons.

Season 18 of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Has an Official Premiere Date

ABC has just announced its Fall premiere dates for the 2021–22 season for both new and returning shows. TV’s longest-running prime time medical drama Grey’s Anatomy is officially set to return on Thursday, September 30. Episodes will air 9:00PM EDT. Before Grey’s Anatomy, new episodes of Station 19 will air as usual. However, Big Sky is now joining the Thursday night lineup with new episodes after Grey’s Anatomy.

ABC’s ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ is Coming Back for Season 18

Television’s longest-running medical drama will continue for another season! Grey’s Anatomy has been renewed for season 18. According to Deadline, original cast members Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, and James Pickens Jr., whose current contracts are up at the end of this season, will all be returning for the new season. Pompeo (who also is a producer on Grey’s Anatomy) closed a new one-year deal while Wilson and Pickens Jr. both signed new contracts to continue their roles on the hit series.
