Celebrating the All-Vietnamese Loop Group For ‘The Sympathizer’

Tonight is the season finale for the The Sympathizer, an HBO television series based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s 2015 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name. This is without a doubt not only a historic achievement in Vietnamese American storytelling but it also marks the first time an all-Vietnamese loop group has ever been utilized in Hollywood. The Latest Teaser Trailer for HBO’s ‘The Sympathizer’ is Here

HBO Originals and Max has finally released the teaser trailer to the anticipated new drama The Sympathizer. Based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, The Sympathizer is an espionage thriller and cross-culture satire about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy (Hoa Xuande) during the final days of the Vietnam War and his new life as a refugee in Los Angeles, where he learns that his spying days aren’t over.

Discussing Vietnamese Representation with the Cast of ‘Daughter’

The new thriller Daughter is hitting theaters and VOD. The film is the feature directorial debut of Corey Deshon, and is a tense slow burn, following in the footsteps of first time features like Jordan Peele’s Get Out and Dan Trachtenberg’s 10 Cloverfield Lane.
