Conversing of Fear and Face-Huggers with ‘Alien: Romulus’ Star Aileen Wu

I’ve had the most fortunate pleasure of speaking with the amazing cast members of this year’s sci-fi blockbuster hit, Alien: Romulus throughout the year. In fact, I’ll never forget my first interview with them at San Diego Comic Con this past July! The only regret I had, was not being able to speak with the terrific Aileen Wu, who plays the tragic Navarro, since she wasn’t able to make it to San Diego.

Bursting Out of ‘Alien: Romulus’ with Breakout Star David Jonsson

You may recall this past July that I had the esteemed pleasure of interviewing the full cast of Alien: Romulus at San Diego Comic Con. Hands down, one of the greatest highlights of my year. Now of course we hadn’t seen the film at that point. But now that it has become one of the biggest and most successful blockbusters of the year (critically and commercially), I find myself honored once more to this time sit down one-on-one with the film’s breakout star, (the man playing my absolute favorite character from the film, Andy) the incredible David Jonsson!

‘Alien: Romulus’ on Digital Lets You Relive the Fears of Facing Xenomorphs at Home

Alien: Romulus is director Fede Alverez’s ode to the long-running sci-fi horror franchise that reminds us that in space, no one can hear you scream. While previous Alien sequels and prequels focused more on blue collars, scientists, and soldiers, the latest film, the seventh in the franchise, is more about a new group of misfit kids who refuse to accept their fate but place them in similar circumstances of fighting to survive, escaping with their lives, and putting their fate in the hands of a dubious android. Now, fans can relive all of that with the release of Alien: Romulus on digital.

Richard Donner’s Superman is perhaps the most admired and cherished live-action version of the character. Exploring the Extras of ‘Eternals’ on Digital

For anyone following my reviews, you’ve most likely read my thoughts on Eternals this past November. To summarize, overall, I think this is a perfectly lovely, and bold film that challenges the traditional convention for the Marvel Cinematic Universe template, taking more from Alan Moore’s Watchmen than Avengers. I realize it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s fine. But for me, Chloé Zhao brought something incredibly unique into this 27-film franchise that I find severely underrated and quite special in its own right.
