Between Vengeance and Love at ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 Press Conference

Nothing in the video game space has broken my heart nearly as much as The Last of Us Parts I and II. The story of Ellie and Joel is one of the most beautiful and profoundly tragic tales I’ve ever played through, and seeing the first part come to life so gorgeously in the first season of The Last of Us was such a wonderful experience.

‘Moana 2’ Creators Share Resonating Stories with Cultural Specificity

While Moana 2 is already out on digital, it is also scheduled to debut on Disney+ on March 12 and hit store shelves on March 18. Ironically, the sequel was originally supposed to be a Disney+ streaming exclusive, but first-time directors Dana Ledoux Miller, Jason Hand, and David G. Derrick Jr. were able to navigate creative changes and deliver something that was a hit with theatergoing audiences, while also having a grander celebration of Polynesian culture.

In the first few minutes of Picture This, the main protagonist, Pia (Simone Ashley), tells her conservative mother (Sindhu Vee) that she wants to focus on her career as a photographer who owns her studio rather than get married. “I’m building a life for myself on my own,” says Pia. “I don’t need a man to do that.”

NOC Review: ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is Marvel Television at Its Peak

Even as a Marvel fan, I’ll be the first to admit that not all of the MCU’s Disney+ shows have worked. I really didn’t care for Secret Invasion or She-Hulk. However, when they’ve hit, such as X-Men ’97, WandaVision, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and Loki, they’ve hit hard. And that brings us to one of the hardest hitters of all: Daredevil: Born Again.

Directing ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ with Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson

MCU directors don’t get more prolific than Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson. They may not be household names to the extent of The Russo Brothers. However, given their stellar work on Moon Knight and Loki Season 2, they are quickly becoming the premiere duo behind some of the MCU’s best works in recent years.

Finding ‘The Good Place’ Five Years Since it Went Off the Air

Morality and philosophy have always been heavy subjects, influential and integral yes, but also intense and often strayed away from. The Good Place established itself, circa 2016, as a funny, colorful TV show with one premise in mind: tackling the afterlife. That’s all it was at the start, but as the show progressed, so too did the characters.

The Final Verdict on Asian Representation in ‘Cobra Kai’

Nearly seven years after its debut, Cobra Kai has come to an end. The third and final batch of episodes from its sixth and final season dropped on Netflix last Thursday, bringing with it some of the best writing and acting to come out of the entire series, all the while wrapping up loose ends. Did any of it have to do with the show’s dodgy efforts at Asian and Asian American representation? Not at all!
