Jessica Williams Dishes on Lally Hicks and ‘The Secrets of Dumbledore’

The latest chapter in the Wizarding World saga hits theaters this Friday! After a long awaited delay, due to the pandemic, Newt Scamander and all of his Fantastic Beasts will be returning to screens, and they’re unveiling The Secrets of Dumbledore. Chief among the ranks of Dumbledore’s first army is Ilvermorny professor, Eulalie “Lally” Hicks, played by franchise newcomer, the incomparable and wonderful Jessica Williams. We had a chance to sit down with Jessica to discuss all of the secrets of Dumbledore, as well as her work bringing to life this welcome addition to the Wizarding World!

Spotify Launches Latest Edition of ‘Sound Up’

Spotify has launched the most recent edition of its “Sound Up” program. Much like The Nerds of Color, Spotify created the program as a way to give a voice to the underrepresented communities in society. Thus far the program has launched in 12 markets — including Japan, Italy, the U.S., U.S. Latinx, India, Mexico, Australia, Sweden, the U.K., Germany, Brazil, and Argentina. And paved the way for creators across all communities, including the Latino, African American, Asian, and LGBTQ communities, to create content on their platform.

‘The Batman’ Cast on Becoming the Riddler, Gordon, and Alfred

The Batman is here! After many long months of waiting and speculating, the first reviews for Matt Reeves’ take on the Dark Knight Detective dropped yesterday to a stellar 87% on Rotten Tomatoes. NOC Review: Behold ‘The Batman’

What does it mean to truly capture the essence of Batman? In the past 33 years, we’ve had three big budget, big screen franchises starring The Caped Crusader. And each time, at one point or another, we’ve more than likely heard the phrase “the definitive version of Batman” uttered among colleagues, friends, and fanboys. However, in these 33 incredible years, which have seen their shares of highs and lows with adaptations of the mythology, there surprisingly has never been a truly detective-oriented Batman story put to live action film. Until now.

Accio New Trailer for ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’

After a slight delay last week, today Warner Bros. has released both the new trailer and poster for the next anticipated Wizarding World installment, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore! The film will be a continuation of the prequel series that began with 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. But the story, it seems, will now expand into the beginning of the Global Wizarding War between Dumbledore’s first army and Grindelwald.
