Wish, Walt Disney Animation Studio’s 62nd film, which also celebrates the studio’s 100th anniversary, is an original animated musical fairy tale story that explores the origins of Wishing Star. The visual storytelling captures captures a stunning illustrative watercolor feel and pops off the screen thanks to CG technology. While achieving the look and feel wasn’t easy, finding the voices that would honor the legacy of animation would be even more of a challenge. And Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose, who voices Asha; and Chris Pine, who voices King Magnifico bring voices to the characters that feel timeless.

Since the 1980s, Walt Disney Animation Studio’s opening theme has enchanted audiences with “When You Wish Upon A Star.” It’s a theme that continues to resonate with all who look to the stars to guide them. And so, Wish directors Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn, co-writer and Disney Animation CCO Jennifer Lee, along with producers Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster-Jones set out to pay homage to the classic Disney animated features that came before it, while embracing the new techniques and technologies of the future.

Meeting the Masterminds Behind ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’
For decades, the legend and sounds of Godzilla have remained iconic. But less known about the mythology (at least in the latest iteration of Legendary’s MonsterVerse) are the shadowy figures that monitor Godzilla and other titans across the planet: the organization Monarch! Now, with Monarch: Legacy of Monsters debuting on Apple TV+ this Friday, November 17, the world of monsters will finally be brought into the light. And to celebrate, we were able to sit down with the showrunners and creators Matt Fraction and Chris Black, as well as director Matt Shakman, and producer Sean Konrad, to discuss the journey of bringing the MonsterVerse to streaming.

The MCU Makes More Major Movie Moves
It’s no surprise that the strikes have more or less caused major motion picture studios to re-strategize and re-asses their release schedules for the coming year. And naturally, with a franchise as interwoven and high profile as the MCU, Marvel Studios is being forced to do the same. This week, news was officially announced that four huge films, Deadpool 3, Captain America: Brave New World, Blade, and Phase 5 capper Thunderbolts would all be affected by the strikes.

With Halloween out of the way, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure can officially start Holidays at Disneyland Resort and Disney Festival of Holidays. The annual event that celebrates the end of the year will be a feast for the senses as the parks are transformed into a merry delight place full of cheer and joy. There will be savory and sweet food and drinks for everyone to enjoy. Characters are also getting in a festive mood by putting on their holiday best. Plus there’s grand-reopening of he Adventureland Treehouse inspired by Walt Disney’s Swiss Family Robinson, along with other fun things to do in and outside the park.
