Check Out the New Poster for ‘Shazam: Fury of the Gods’

We are going to have to wait a bit longer to witness the fury of the gods, as Shazam: Fury of the Gods, the sequel to 2019’s delightful Shazam! is due to hit theaters March 17. Originally the highly anticipated follow up was supposed to go toe-to-toe with Avatar: The Way of Water this Christmas, but was pushed in the wake of the WB/Discovery merger and the updated plans for the DC film slate. But never fear, just because we aren’t getting more of the Shazam family this year, doesn’t mean we aren’t getting some fun stuff. Today, WB/DC just debuted a new poster for the film.

‘Black Adam’ is Less Than the Sum of its Parts but Still a Fun Time

“The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change,” we’ve heard for weeks on end from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Did it really change that much with the release of Black Adam? Honestly? Yeah, kind of!

‘Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons’ is a Nostalgic Tribute

Richard Donner’s Superman is perhaps the most admired and cherished live-action version of the character. Donner established his spot in the “Man of Steel” hall of fame by building upon the hero’s most famous attributes. His bulletproof skin and wondrous flight were there, along with his diehard sense of truth, justice, and the American way.

‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ Teaser Confirms Release Date and Lady Gaga Casting

It’s been a controversial week for WB and DC. With everything going on with Batgirl, and something of a lackluster showing at Comic-Con, the studio needed to drop some big news. And admittedly news for the sequel to the $1B grossing Joker is big.

‘DC League of Super-Pets’ is a Menagerie of Laughs and Heart

Warner Bros.’ DC League of Super-Pets is a sweet, funny, and heartwarming story about the world from a pet’s point of view. The concept isn’t new. Plenty of films explore the relationships between a pet and its human owners. But director Jared Stern, who co-wrote the script with John Whittington, puts a playful twist on it by making it more about the pets rather than their superhero owners.

‘Joker’ Sequel to be a Musical and Co-Star Lady Gaga

Last week, director Todd Phillips took to Instagram to reveal work has begun on the follow-up to his 2019 Academy Award-winning film, Joker. Without caption, the director simply posted the cover of the screenplay — intriguingly subtitled “Folie à Deux” — and a photo of Joaquin Phoenix reading the script.

NOC Review: Behold ‘The Batman’

What does it mean to truly capture the essence of Batman? In the past 33 years, we’ve had three big budget, big screen franchises starring The Caped Crusader. And each time, at one point or another, we’ve more than likely heard the phrase “the definitive version of Batman” uttered among colleagues, friends, and fanboys. However, in these 33 incredible years, which have seen their shares of highs and lows with adaptations of the mythology, there surprisingly has never been a truly detective-oriented Batman story put to live action film. Until now.
