Paramount had a huge weekend at the CCXP convention in São Paulo. They rolled out a massive panel for the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves film, and brought with them a huge group of stars including Chris Pine, Regé-Jean Page, Hugh Grant, Justice Smith, and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, and producer Jeremy Latcham. While we weren’t present for the panel, Paramount did unveil a new poster for the film, and a behind-the-scenes featurette.
The fate of The Multiverse (Saga) hangs in the balance! Following the powerhouse showing at San Diego Comic Con this past year, Marvel Studios had everyone completely psyched to see how The Multiverse Saga would play out. Boldly announcing several projects across Phases 5 and 6, audiences were thrilled, yet skeptical about whether or not the ambitious slate of shows and films would arrive as scheduled, given the sheer volume of it all.

Today, Deadlinebroke the exclusive news that Marvel is set to choose Mogul Mowgli director Bassam Tariq to direct the new ‘Blade’ film starring Mahershala Ali. Sources close to Deadline say that while deal hasn’t been finalized, it does come at the end of a fairly long and considerate search for the film’s director. When the deal is officially inked, Tariq will become Marvel’s sixth director of color, rounding out the list of his contemporaries that include Ryan Coogler, Chloé Zhao, and Taika Waititi.
