‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Director Deborah Chow on the ‘Star Wars’ Legacy and Toshiro Mifune

In one week, on the 45th anniversary of the original Star Wars, Disney+ will be premiering the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Filling in the gap between Episodes III and IV, Obi-Wan Kenobi brings back Prequel era stars Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen to reprise the roles of Kenobi and Darth Vader, respectively.

Oh, Boy: NBC Picks Up ‘Quantum Leap’ Reboot to Series

NBC has announced that it is committing its reboot of Quantum Leap to series after announcing the casting of the pilot in March. Such a quick turnaround can only mean that the network heads were blown away by the pilot. And for what it’s worth, this show sounds tailor-made for me and me alone.

Oh My Demigod: Disney+ Reveals ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Trio

Disney has just officially announced Aryan Simhadri (Disney’s Spin) and Leah Sava Jeffries (Empire) will play Grover and Annabeth, respectively, in the upcoming Disney+ original series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Simhadri and Jeffries will star alongside Adam Project star Walker Scobell who was recently cast as Percy in this epic adventure.

‘Eternals’ to Stream on Disney+ in January

Today, it was announced that Marvel Studios’ Eternals will start streaming exclusively on Disney+ on January 12, 2022. This is the most recent example of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s shortened theatrical window — two months after its premiere, following Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings which made its Disney+ debut in November.

Ally Maki Brings the Asian American Girl Club to Hulu’s ‘Hit-Monkey’

On November 17, Hit-Monkey, Hulu’s latest TV-MA rated animated Marvel property, makes its debut on the streaming platform. Based on the comic by Daniel Way and artist Dalibor Talajić, Hit-Monkey tells the tale of a Japanese snow monkey who seeks revenge against the gangsters that decimated his family. One of the characters drawn into Hit-Monkey’s orbit is Detective Haruka, played by the incomparable Ally Maki.
