‘The Suicide Squad’ Trailer Brings in the Big “Gunns”

James Gunn is back baby! And this time, he’s bringing us a new Squad! That’s right! The Guardians of the Galaxy director is aiming to unify all of comic book fandom by introducing us to his unique vision of The Suicide Squad! And let me tell you, this trailer has got me feeling all sorts of tingly excitement inside!

The film reunites some of the 2016 film’s alumni, including Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, and Jai Courtney, but introduces us to new characters played by Idris Elba, John Cena, David Dastmalchian, Alice Braga, Daniela Melchior and Gunn mainstays Nathan Fillion, Sean Gunn, and Michael Rooker!

But enough talk! Watch the chaos right here, right now (UPDATE: I ditched the tweet and uploaded the full on video so everyone can see it in its fullest more gorgeous glory!):

Additionally, yesterday, Gunn dropped the latest poster for the film on his own Twitter page, which gives off a really awesome ’70s exploitation war-movie vibe:

Dear god, August can’t some soon enough!

James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad hits theaters and HBO Max, August 6!
