Grey’s Anatomy fans — mark your calendars because April is finally coming back to the show on Thursday, May 6 at 9/8c on ABC. Sarah Drew took to her social media to share the official date with fans after confirming her exciting return on March 12.
The actress first joined the show as April Kepner back in Season 6 before making her exit in Season 14. Since then, fans have been desperate for her return, especially with so many beloved characters making an appearance this season.
April was one of the most adored characters in the series and still is even after she left. Many fans were devastated that she and Jackson (Jesse Williams), aka Japril, didn’t end up together when their clear love for one another didn’t go away after everything they went through. However, it seems that there will be plenty of Japril content that comes with Drew’s return; she and Williams posted a bunch of behind-the-scenes content after reuniting on set.
