NOC Interview: Paula Pell on Her New Peacock Original Series, ‘Girls5eva’

Paula Pell is ready to bring the laughs in Peacock’s newest comedy Girls5eva, which premieres on Thursday, May 6. The best part is all eight episodes will drop at once, making it your next binge-worthy show! In the female-led series, Pell is joined by Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Busy Philipps.

When a one-hit-wonder girl group from the ’90s gets sampled by a young rapper, its members reunite to give their pop star dreams one more shot. They may be grown women balancing spouses, kids, jobs, debt, aging parents, and shoulder pain, but can‘t they also be Girls5eva?

Pell is best known for being a writer on Saturday Night Live, which she speaks about in our interview, and now, she’s bringing the character of Gloria to life.
