Exclusive Interviews with the Cast and Director of ‘The Conjuring 3’

With the anticipated third film from The Conjuring series The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It coming out next week, The Nerds of Color got to sit down virtually with the cast and creatives to talk about the Warrens, the process, and just what to expect from a story based on a REAL murder.

We’ve been covering this film extensively and now the film is FINALLY coming out for the world to see. After viewing the film, we had a lot of questions because this is the first Conjuring movie that is based on a real murder that took place in America and how the justice system handled it.

We should also note, it’s also a love story between the Warrens (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) as they struggle to solve the case that started with a little boy named David. As the Warrens tried to get the demon out of David, David’s sister Deborah (Sarah Catherine Hook), and her boyfriend Arne (Ruairi O’Connor) tried to help — with Arne called out to the demon to take him instead — which it did. After struggling with the demon inside him, Arne is finally consumed at one point and kills a man in the process.

Sounds like a good story, but it actually happened.

Check out the interviews with the cast and director:

Directed by Michael Chaves, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It centers around the Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren’s (Vera Farmiga) investigation on the real life trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson (Ruairi O’Connor), who murdered his landlord, claiming he was possessed by the devil to do it. As the Warrens investigate the case, they are confronted with their own demons as well with the unknown evil terror that surrounds them.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It opens in theaters and on HBO Max on June 3.
