THE BIG LEAP is a modern tale about second chances, chasing your dreams and taking back what’s yours. The show revolves around a group of diverse, down-on-their-luck characters attempting to change their lives by participating in a potentially life-ruining reality dance show that builds to a live production of “Swan Lake.”

The character of Gabby Lewis is an aspiring dancer who had big dreams of becoming a professional dancer, but her dreams were set on hold once she became a new mom after high school. When she stumbles upon an open casting call for The Big Leap, her passion for dance is reignited and she takes a second shot at her dance career.

Recasner has been acting on the stage for many years. In New York, she starred in Ain’t No Mo at The Public Theater. She also participated in The Director’s Lab at Lincoln Center Theater as well as starred in regional theatrical productions, including Pride and Prejudice at the Pittsburgh Public Theater.
