Stefanie Scott Previews Peacock’s ‘The Girl in the Woods’

Stefanie Scott stars as Carrie in The Girl in the Woods. All eight episodes will begin streaming Thursday, October 21 on Peacock. The series is based on Crypt TV’s 2018 short film The Door in the Woods and the 2020 sequel The Girl in the Woods.

In supernatural drama THE GIRL IN THE WOODS, monsters are real, kept at bay behind a mysterious door in a cult-like colony. Teenage runaway Carrie’s job is to guard that door, but when strange occurrences begin to shake the sleepy mining town to its core, she must enlist the help of new friends Nolan and Tasha. The group becomes an unlikely trio of monster slayers, determined to save their loved ones. As they fight back, Nolan and Tasha can’t help but wonder… can they really trust Carrie? Small towns sure can be Hell.

Scott can most recently be seen in the independent horror/drama film, The Last Thing Mary Saw, which debuted at the Fantasia International Film Festival this year and will stream on Shudder in early 2022. This year, the actress starred in Girl in the Basement, inspired by true events. Some of her most notable work includes Insidious: Chapter 3, At First Light, Beautiful Boy, and Small Town Crime. Along with starring in Good Girls Get High, she also served as an Associate Producer. Other credits include Mary, Jem and the Holograms, Flipped, No Strings Attached, Wreck-It Ralph, Spare Room, and A.N.T. Farm.
