Hailee Steinfeld takes on the role of Kate Bishop in Hawkeye. The new Marvel Studios series debuts with its first two episodes November 24 on Disney+. Set in post-blip New York City during the holidays, the show brings to life the Clint Barton and Kate Bishop team up fans have been waiting for!
Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye is an original new series set in post-blip New York City where former Avenger Clint Barton aka Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. But when a threat from his past shows up, Hawkeye reluctantly teams up with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), a 22-year-old skilled archer and his biggest fan, to unravel a criminal conspiracy.
Steinfeld can currently be seen starring as Emily Dickinson in Dickinson, which is currently on its final season. Recently, the actress lent her voice in Arcane. Her film work includes Bumblebee, Pitch Perfect 2, Pitch Perfect 3, The Edge of Seventeen, 3 Days to Kill, True Grit, Romeo and Juliet, Begin Again, Ender’s Game, The Homesman, The Keeping Room, Ten Thousand Saints, Barely Lethal, Term Life, Hateship Loveship, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
I had the pleasure of speaking with the actress about what it means to join the MCU and line of strong female characters before her, why this show is perfect for the whole family to enjoy, how Kate’s dynamic with Clint evolves, and more!
