Before the premiere of The Afterparty, I spoke with Ben Schwartz, Sam Richardson, Ilana Glazer, Jamie Demetriou, Zoë Chao, and Ike Barinholtz! The comedy series premieres Friday, January 28 on Apple TV+ with three episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly, every Friday.
The Afterparty centers on a murder mystery at a high school reunion. Each of the eight episodes features a retelling of the same night told through a different character’s perspective, each with its own unique visual style and film genre to match the teller’s personality.

Ilana Glazer is best known as the co-creator, writer, director, executive producer, and star of the critically acclaimed series, Broad City. The actress recently starred in, co-wrote, and produced the film, False Positive. Other notable credits include Rough Night, The Night Before, BoJack Horseman, as well as Green Eggs and Ham. Her debut standup special The Planet Is Burning is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Jamie Demetriou can be recognized for his roles in Miracle Workers, Fleabag, Stath Lets Flats, Tracey Ullman’s Show, Four Weddings and a Funeral, SunTrap, Cockroaches, as well as The Great. His film credits include The Electrical Life of Louis Wain, Cruella, Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans, Island of Dreams, Sherlock Gnomes, Paddington 2, and Game Over, Man!.
