Sophia Ali portrays Chloe Frazer in Sony Pictures’ Uncharted. The movie is based on the PlayStation video game by Naughty Dog and will be released exclusively in theaters on February 18.
Street-smart Nathan Drake is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan to recover a fortune amassed by Ferdinand Magellan and lost 500 years ago by the House of Moncada. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Santiago Moncada, who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother…but only if they can learn to work together.
Ali is best known for her role as Fatin in The Wilds on Prime Video. The hit series is heading into its second season. She recently starred in India Sweet and Spices, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Other notable credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Famous in Love, Truth or Dare, and Everybody Wants Some.
Ahead of Uncharted’s release, I had the chance to speak with the actress about what attracted her to the project, the stunt work, playing badass and empowering female roles, getting to know the character of Chloe through her video game, her favorite filming memory, The Wilds, and much more!
