Sandra Bullock and Daniel Radcliffe star in The Lost City. Bullock, who also serves as a producer for the film, portrays Loretta Sage. Meanwhile, Radcliffe plays the villain, Abigail Fairfax. The new rom-com adventure is currently in theaters and you definitely don’t want to miss it!
Brilliant, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, “Dash.” While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever.
Sandra Bullock most recently starred in and produced the Netflix Original film adaptation The Unforgiveable, which I also had the opportunity to interview her about. The film quickly made Netflix’s all-time Top 10 most popular list, joining her 2018 post-apocalyptic thriller film Bird Box. This makes her the first and only actress with two titles on the list. Upcoming, she will appear in the new action/thriller Bullet Train.
Daniel Radcliffe recently wrapped filming Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, the absolutely 100 percent unassailably true story of Weird Al Yankovic. In late 2022, he will have a role in Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along at New York Theatre Workshop. Miracle Workers, which he both stars in and executive produces, has been picked up for a fourth season. I previously had the chance to discuss the show’s third season, Miracle Workers: Oregon Trail, with the actor.
I spoke with the legendary duo about what their work means to audiences, their personal favorite romance tropes, the scene that they were most excited to see on the big screen, which of their characters would thrive or never survive in the jungle, and more.

That does sound promising, like Romancing the Stone if Michael Douglas had been playing Fabio.
That’s meant as a compliment. I’m looking forward to this.
