Ever since its stellar debut in 2019 on CBS, Evil has been a runaway supernatural hit with audiences everywhere, becoming an X-Files for the 2020s! And much of the charm and charisma from the show spawns from its lead actor, Mike Colter (Marvel’s Luke Cage)! With its new season debuting this Sunday, June 12 on Paramount+, we were given the opportunity to sit down with this larger-than-life superhero-turned-priest to discuss the new season and all the thrills that await fans everywhere.
Colter has been a personal fan favorite of mine, since he absolutely crushed it as Luke Cage. And following him into the world of the unknown along side his terrific co-leads Katja Herbers and Aasif Mandvi has been nothing short of spectacular. To catch folks up, Colter plays David Acosta, a former reporter who (at the end of Season 2) becomes a priest. He works for the Catholic Church and with Herber’s and Mandvi’s characters works to investigate and confirm events such as miracles and reports of demons lurking in our world.
In our conversation we were able to chat about where David’s character is headed in Season 3, as well as the dynamic between Colter and his fellow co-stars. Take a look below:
