Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke Talk ‘Do Revenge’ and Making an Impact

Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke star as Drea and Eleanor in Do Revenge. The new dark comedy will be released Friday, September 16, only on Netflix.

Drea (Camila Mendes) is at the peak of her high school powers as the Alpha it-girl on campus when her entire life goes up in flames after her sex tape gets leaked to the whole school, seemingly by her boyfriend and king of the school, Max (Austin Abrams). Eleanor (Maya Hawke) is an awkward new transfer student who is angered to find out that she now has to go to school with her old bully, Carissa (Ava Capri) who started a nasty rumor about her in summer camp when they were 13. After a clandestine run-in at tennis camp, Drea and Eleanor form an unlikely and secret friendship to get revenge on each other’s tormentors.

Mendes currently stars as Veronica Lodge on The CW’s Riverdale. The show has already been renewed for a seventh and final season. The actress can also be recognized for Coyote Lake, Palm Springs, Dangerous Lies, The New Romantic, and The Perfect Date.

Hawke is best known for her role as Robin Buckley in Netflix’s Stranger Things, which is going into its fifth and final season. Additional credits include Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, Fear Street: Part One – 1994, Human Capital, Mainstream, and Little Women. Upcoming, her second album Moss will be out on September 23.
