Justin Hartley stars in and executive produces The Noel Diary, which Charles Shyer directed and co-wrote. The movie, based on the book by Richard Paul Evans, is now streaming on Netflix.

When best-selling author Jake Turner (Justin Hartley) returns home at Christmas to settle his estranged mother’s estate, he discovers a diary that may hold secrets to his own past and that of Rachel (Barrett Doss) – an intriguing young woman on a mission of her own. Together, they embark on a journey to confront their pasts and discover a future that’s totally unexpected.
Hartley is recognized for his role as Kevin Pearson on This Is Us. He can also be seen in Smallville, Revenge, Passions, Emily Owens M.D., Mistresses, Gemini Division, as well as The Young and the Restless. The actor’s film credits include Senior Year, A Bad Moms Christmas, Red Canyon, A Way with Murder, Another Time, Jexi, The Exchange, and Little.
Shyer is best known for his work on The Parent Trap, Father of the Bride, Father of the Bride Part II, Alfie, Once Upon a Crime…, I Love Trouble, Baby Boom, Protocol, Irreconcilable Differences, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Private Benjamin, Goin’ South, House Calls, Smokey and the Bandit, The Affair of the Necklace, and Getting Together.
