Hulu has released the trailer for its upcoming psychological horror film Clock, “the story of a woman who enrolls in a clinical trial to try and fix her seemingly broken biological clock after friends, family, and society pressures her to have children.” The film stars Dianna Agron (Glee), Melora Hardin (The Office), Saul Rubinek (Unforgiven), and Jay Ali (Daredevil).
The trailer showcases Agron’s character Ella questioning whether there’s something wrong with her for not wanting children and fearing that her husband (Ali) is unhappy with her decision. She reluctantly decides to participate in the clinical trial after being swayed by a doctor’s spiel that her biological clock is simply “broken.”

“It is the singular evolutionary goal of a species to procreate,” Dr. Simmons (Hardin) tells Ella. “That is our purpose.” It doesn’t take long for things to go awry after the “treatment,” with Ella soon finding herself tormented by terrifying hallucinations and ghosts from her past.
At a time when reproductive rights and abortion access are under attack in the US, the film’s premise feels especially chilling and timely. Check out the official trailer below:
Clock was written and directed by Alexis Jacknow. David Worthen Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, and Jenna Cavelle serve as executive producers. Leal Naim serves as producer with Alex Hansen co-producing. The film was developed by 20th Digital Studio.
Clock will premiere on Hulu April 28. Stay tuned for more coverage.
