Netflix’s Live Action adaption of Eiichiro Oda’s bestselling manga of all time One Piece celebrated their release with multiple fan events all over the world.
Kicking off with Los Angeles on August 24, Netflix created fan celebrations in Paris, France; Jakarta, Indonesia; Tokyo, Japan; Milan, Italy; Manila, Philippines; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Bangkok, Thailand; Germany; and, Houston, Texas. The events were filled with Straw Hats fans ready to set sail to the East Blue — at least, for the first episode of the series before it was released on Netflix worldwide today.
In Sugarland, Texas, Netflix threw a fan celebration filled with drinks and food trucks — Waffle Bus, Blk Mkt Birria, and SeoulSide Wings — and cosplay! Fans were given the opportunity to hang out with their fellow One Piece fans and watch the live adaptation from Netflix.

With over 200 fans in attendance, One Piece fans got to celebrate the release the right way — on the Going Merry! A statue of the head of the ship was created to feel like they were on the Going Merry. After the first episode was screened inside the venue, fans cheered and continued the party indoors and outdoors. It was so much fun to see all the cosplayers and everyone raving about the first episode and how they would be able to watch the rest when it releases that night.
All eight episodes of One Piece live adaption are out now on Netflix.
