Tiana’s Bayou Adventures ride finally gets an opening date — November 15, 2024, at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, in which Critter County will officially be renamed “Bayou Country.”

The news was announced during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at this year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro revealed the date for the new ride, inspired by the 2009 animated film The Princess and the Frog.

The ride replaces Splash Mountain’s outdated theme from the racist 1946 Song of the South film. Construction began in 2020 and will finally open to the public this fall, aligned with the start of the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.
