We are counting down to the premiere of Creature Commandos. Yesterday, we brought you our interview with actor Frank Grillo, who plays Rick Flag Sr, and today we are pleased to bring you our conversation with showrunner Dean Lorey. While DC Studios Co-chair and CEO/legendary filmmaker James Gunn created and wrote all episodes of the series, Lorey was responsible for seeing everything through from the first episode to the final. And we were able to chat about what it was like helping to bring Task Force M to life.
Lorey has had a long history with DC, working on shows like Powerless and iZombie before moving into animation with Harley Quinn and Kite Man. Now he’s helping Gunn and Peter Safran usher in a new era of the DC Universe with DC Studios’ first installment, Creature Commandos.
Lorey is helping introduce the world to the strangest monsters of all time, and we got a chance to discuss the joys and challenges of bringing these characters to life. Check it out here:
