Look Out for the First Official ‘Supergirl’ Teaser Poster

Hot on the heels of Superman’s blistering box office, James Gunn took to social media this morning — or maybe it was a team of monkeys in a pocket universe — to tease the next cinematic installment of the DCU by sharing an official teaser poster for Supergirl.

If you’ve seen Superman, you’ll know that an inebriated Kara Zor-El, played by House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock, shows up at the end to reclaim her dog Krypto from her cousin. Some folks might have been taken aback by this new take on the Maiden of Might, but a drunken demeanor — along with her trench coat and attachment to Krypto — were all canonical with her appearance in Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s excellent Woman of Tomorrow.

Remember, when Gunn first announced the project three years ago, “Woman of Tomorrow” was the movie’s original subtitle. Now, throw in some Jason Momoa finally playing the DC character he was born to play (sorry Aquaman fans) into a cosmic storyline that’s a little bit Lone Wolf and Cub mixed with a dash of True Grit, and some John Wick on the side, Supergirl is shaping up to be an all-timer.

Look out for Supergirl to hit theaters in June 2026!
