Loungefly Brings Bustling Boardwalk Vibes to D23

Today, Loungefly invited us to an exclusive behind-the-scenes booth tour to take a look at their D23 Loungefly Pier. Inside, guests are able to play games, win prizes, and shop from a large variety of D23-exclusive merch, including their popular backpacks.

Owned by parent company Funko, Loungefly has made a name for itself with its fandom-themed merchandise, particularly their backpacks. Partnering with numerous studios, media companies, and mainstream properties, they’ve become widely associated with their Disney-themed backpacks that are a must-have for theme park enthusiasts. We had a chance to get a firsthand look at their brand new Belle (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), Ramone (Cars), and Pascal (Tangled) bags. We also took a look at the return of their Cogsworth backpack, which was an instant bestseller at the 2024 D23 convention. In addition to these bags, we also had the opportunity to be the first to unbox their new mystery princess mini bag charm blind boxes. The six mystery bag designs include Princesses Aurora, Ariel, Tiana, Snow White, Moana, and Rapunzel.

In addition to shopping at the booth, guests can participate in traditional Boardwalk-style games, such as a claw machine, beanbag toss, Plinko, ring toss, and skee-ball. You receive a gameplay card upon entry, and if you complete three out of the five available games, your earned points can be cashed in for items at the prize counter. Prizes include blind box mystery tees, mini backpacks, card holders, collector pins, bag charms, and mystery pins.

While some of the items we previewed are D23 exclusives, others like the Pascal crossbody bag will be available for pre-order. You can enjoy the Loungefly Pier booth at D23 through Sunday, August 16.
