‘Lanterns’ Cast and Composer Discuss Making Green Music, Animals, Vehicles

Last week I reviewed HBO’s new Green Lantern show Lanterns, which filled me with delight and questions. I got to pose some of those questions to cast members Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, and Poorna Jagannathan, as well as the show’s composer Stephanie Economou. The music is an exceptional feature of Lanterns, meriting a wider-ranging conversation with Economou, who reveals some of the exotic instrumentation and ‘90s grunge influences on the soundtrack.
